Tracking the road back…
as my shoulder gets cleared more and more from the torn labrum, i’ve finally started working out for real in the past couple of weeks… I can now do power cleans, strict pullups, pushups, benchpress, etc. I’ll start tracking again to see my progress on recovery…
Monday 7/26
– 10, 9, 8… 2, 1 – Power Cleans (135lb) + ab mat situp: 6:4x? came out the gate too hard…
– 135lb benchpress 4 x 8
Tuesday 7/27
– 400m run; 800m row; 1600m run; 800m row; 400m run – 19:59. terrible run…
– strict pullups – 5 x 5
– TGU – 5 in a row, each arm x 3 (green, green, blue KBs)
– Pushups – 4 x 10
– pistol work
Wednesday 7/28
– Clean – 5 x 1 – worked up to 185, could have gone more, but keeping it easy for now
– AMRAP 10: 5 x 275lb DL, 20 x DoubleUnder – 7 complete rounds. Damn deadlifts.
Th – rest; Fr – missed 6a;
Saturday 7/31
– PS + PS + S x 4 @ 60kg (felt good). Messed around with 75kg and got it w/o a problem
– 3 x 1 C&J @ 60kg. Felt ok. receiving felt tight.
– pullups – 4 x 6. felt good, was fatigued by the end
Sunday 8/1
– Garcia Trail Hike
Monday 8/2 – only did 75% of what the 85% ended up being, just to get back slowly…
– BS 85% x 2 x 4 (did 90kg)
– SDL 103% x 3 x 3 (did 80kg?)
– Push Press ?% x 4 x 5 (did 50kg)
– (pullup x 6 + AMRAP GHD w/o fail + rest) x3 – pullups got to white kb 2nd & 3rd rd
– 500m row sprint – 1:30.2 – new PR.
it’s slow, i suck, but with a good shoulder, hopefully it won’t take me too long to get back (once i can go overhead, that is)
–> btw, moved to http://www.amlap20.com/tracking – to provide a tracking specific blog. However, this will mark the beginning of the week back
